THE TACTICAL VOTING ADVICE IS CLEAR: VOTE LABOUR

Leading tactical voting website StopTheTories.vote has released its advice for the East Wiltshire constituency, and the message is clear: vote Labour.

The decision by the site means that every website advising on tactical voting at the General Election is recommending a Labour vote in East Wiltshire.

StopTheTories.vote’s advice confirms that Labour was in second place behind the Conservatives if the 2019 election had been held on the East Wiltshire constituency boundaries, and that Labour’s strong position in national polls puts the party in the best position to unseat Danny Kruger.

The site takes into account local campaigning activity and the strength of the local parties in making its recommendation.

Labour’s Parliamentary Candidate for East Wiltshire, Rob Newman, said:

“Tactical voting will play a huge part at this General Election, and the advice from all of the websites analysing the seat is now clear. If you want to unseat the Tories in East Wiltshire, vote Labour.

“I know that for people who have supported other parties in the past, it’s a huge deal putting your cross in a different box. I don’t take that decision lightly, or the responsibility it places on me to be an MP for everyone if elected.

“That doesn’t just go for ‘progressive’ voters – it goes for people who voted Conservative last time, and who feel let down by the farce of the past few years.

“It would be the privilege of my life to be the MP for the seat where I grew up. Regardless of the result on July 4, I’m incredibly grateful to all those who have pledged their support.”
